The world is full of wild fruit trees and bushes. By wild I mean free and not owned by anyone. If we map this fruit it becomes available. Have you ever driven passed a tree full of apples, or found a sweet chestnut and felt what a waste? Lets all map this fruit, we all have to contribute as everyone has a tree in mind, and no one could possibly know more than just a few locations where these secret sources of free local food are.
Good information to put onto the map if you know it is the date the fruit will be ready. Pick some when it is ripe and taste it, I always feel that all fruit will get sweet if left long enough to ripen.
I have been contacted by people who want to put their own gardens on the map, I do not think this is a good idea. If you want to share your fruit you will get better control if you use freecycle or freegle. I have a link to freecycle and freegle on the link page.

This is a big map of the world, and so could become very unmanageable very quickly. I hope in time that you dear reader will make your own local map and send me a link. I will then put it on the link page and this will become a directory for local fruit maps. Give your map a regional name.
